For over 12 years the content portion of every page on NewWoodworker.com has been intentionally free of ads despite advertisers offering substantial amounts for that space. For all of that time my site has been free to anyone wanting to use it. Also, I have never “mined” user information that so many sites sell as a substantial revenue source. I can no longer work the two jobs that have supported my site all these years so now I have to make some decisions. I can pepper the content area of each page with new advertising, turn NewWoodworker.com into a paid member’s site or simply close some or the entire site.

I have decided to keep my site open and free by running occasional support drives as so many other sites do. If I can generate enough money though these donation drives NewWoodworker.com will remain free as it always has been. It is as simple as that.
